BECOME A MEMBER

As a non-profit organization, we rely heavily on various sources of income to continue operations and one source is membership dues.

We strive to provide 3:1 ratio for our First Nation members meaning that for every dollar our members provide in dues they receive three dollars in benefits in return.

We continually provide our corporate members with opportunities to present and partner with First Nation communities and members for various economic development projects.

BENEFITS FOR FIRST NATION EDO VOTING MEMBERSHIP

OFNEDA's membership consists of Economic professionals, like you, with a wide range of skills, experiences and perspectives. Tap into this network and broaden your networking opportunities locally, nationally and internationally.

First Nations Economic Advancement Conference (FNEAC)

Each year, OFNEDA develops, plans and delivers the First Nations Economic Advancement Conference (FNEAC). Members of OFNEDA are reimbursed for their travel and accommodations along with free access to the conference as part of their membership dues.

Training, Education, Resources & Workshops

OFNEDA is your resource for seeking information on training as EDO's and other economic practitioners. Your membership grants you free access to numerous information sessions and workshops throughout the year. One of our goals is to provide economic development officer training in Ontario that is developed and accredited through OFNEDA and an academic partner. We provide our members access to a wealth of economic development resources and tool kits such as a newsletter, investment strategies, market research, Aboriginal Business Directory and success stories. Our website will maintain a database library of economic literature from both First Nations and non-First Nation sources.

Networking & Social Media

The member's only section provides a forum to connect with fellow members and stay informed on economic issues in your region and other First Nation communities. We provide our members with access to a growing network of Economic Development Officers (EDO) to improve communications and develop strategic partnerships. We want to help you increase access to investments for your community by tapping into our network of financial institutions, private sector partners, and economic development professionals. Members benefit from increased promotion of their community through OFNEDA-related events, sessions, press releases, website, social media and marketing materials.

Like our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter to receive continuous updates regarding upcoming events, conferences, workshops and success stories about economic development on First Nations across Canada.
